Salary £30,229 - £37,664(pro rata)

Plus Distant Islands Allowance of £1,279 (pro rata)

37.5 hours per week

Fixed Term Contract for 2 years
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Dietitian to join our small, supportive team.


Based in the Western Isles Hospital, Stornoway, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of inpatients, general outpatients/weight management clinics, providing dietetic advice, education and support to patient's carers, other Health Professionals and the public.


The post holder will work alongside our Senior Dietitians, Dietetic Assistant Practitioner and Healthy Weight Support workers and we can offer you a wide range of experience and shadowing opportunities to help you develop your career, including: diabetes, weight management, nutritional support, renal, gastroenterology, oncology, paediatrics, allergies and eating disorders.

If you are newly qualified, you will have support to complete your Flying Start programme from the team, the local PEL and other newly qualified practitioners from a range of other professions within NHS Western Isles.

This ranges from time plus 88% to time plus 30% depending on your pay band and shifts you work.
