Our client is looking for caring and experienced Registered Children's Home Support Workers to join their team and work in their Ofsted Registered Children's home in Swindon.
A person with passion, drive and enthusiasm who wants to make a difference to a child or young person's life.
What do we require?
- Eligible to work in the UK
- A clean driving license and use of vehicle with business insurance.
- At least 2 years previous experience of working in a Registered Children's Home.
- Have a natural ability to care and to be able to empathise and to look beyond the individual or their challenging behaviours.
- To be confident, composed and levelheaded
- To be able to work as part of a close team
The children and young people we support have often experienced high levels of trauma, neglect, and crisis in their young lives, resulting in them experiencing complex challenges.
Part of your role will involve:
- Work directly with their children and young people to support them with the development of their personal, social, health and educational needs.
- To support and encourage our children and young people to identify and engage in a range of positive activities.
- To provide opportunities for their children and young people to increase their selfesteem and engagement within the community.
- Act as a positive role model, recognising your own strengths, interests, or activities that you enjoy engaging in.
Salary
Salary range is £31,485.60 to £33, depending on experience and previous qualifications). You will also receive a £400 welcome bonus
