Job summary
Child and Youth Care Worker will work across Kibble's Residential and Community Based Services, supporting the safety and well-being of young people throughout the night. The role involves direct work with children and young people, assessment, and care planning, as well as liaison with external agencies.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the placement plan for the child or young person is recorded in the format required by the Centre.
- Provide reports required by the Reporter to the Children's Panel or the Clerk of the Court or the Procurator Fiscal and the area team social worker within the required timescales.
Qualifications
- HNC in Social Care, SVQ Level 3 in Care or equivalent.
Skills
- Ability to relate to children and young people in a way that promotes their trust and involvement.
- Positive and calm response to physical and verbal aggression.
- Understanding of the dynamics of relationships between young people in the house and in the community.
