NHS Lanarkshire are looking to recruit a part time, permanent Assistant Practitioner based at Coathill Hospital within the Occupational Therapy - Child & Young People
Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.

The post holder will implement treatment programmes within the hospital and community settings for individuals/groups of patients.

You will undertake baseline assessments within clearly defined parameters for the Occupational Therapy Service and use specialist technical and practical skills to deliver a flexible, patient centred programmes.


Knowledge, Training and /or Experience required to do the job:

  • Formal qualification at HNC Level or equivalent level of experience in a health / education / social care environment plus short specialist courses relevant to specific clinical area.
  • Awareness of health legislation relevant to the clinical area.
  • Knowledge of the clinical speciality/area process, techniques and / or activities relevant to client group.
  • Effective listening, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Time management, planning and organisational skills.
  • Working knowledge of basic information technology.
  • Ability to work individually or as part of a team
  • Ability to learn and develop new skills and maintain a record of learning.
