Description
At Guardian Housing you will be supporting vulnerable adults and families that are at risk of homelessness.

Providing housing management services with the aim to empower its residents to live a more independent life with the skills and tools they provide them with for things such as managing a tenancy and managing a household.


Your new role

You will be working as part of a team with the main purpose of managing a portfolio of properties and tenancies across the site in Birmingham to deliver high quality, responsive, effective and intensive housing management service to vulnerable residents that are homeless and need variable support to progress on their journey.

You will have a caseload of around 20 residents who will be attending weekly scheduled support meetings. Support will be ad hoc based on each individual's needs.

You will act as an advocate so they can access all key services signposting them to the relevant support services and liaising with them on their behalf when necessary, which may include things such as debt management, employment, training and volunteering to name a few.


What you'll need to succeed

You will be a caring individual with a passion and willingness to help the residents and further your own knowledge and development.

As well as an in-depth knowledge of housing management services, it is also desirable experience working with people or settings providing support services for various client groups effected by domestic violence, substance misuse, ex-offenders, challenging behaviour, mental health issues, and homelessness.

With the ability to build and maintain rapport working with both your co-workers, residents and external agencies to provide them with the best service.

You will have the ability to deal with challenging situations and risk assess accordingly.

Driving is essential in this role due to having to travel to various properties across the city.


Salary:
£10.42-£12.00 per hour

Education:


  • GCSE or equivalent (preferred)

Experience:

- housing support: 1 year (preferred)


Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
  • NVQ Level 2 Health & Social Care (preferred)
