About this client/child:
Theo is a 10 years old, charming, cheeky, and active young lad.
He lives with his Mummy, his dog and parrot He enjoys playing ball games, watching his favourite shows, and visiting the local superstore.
Theo has a learning disability, autism, Impaired Grossand Fine motors skills, a visual impairment, epilepsy, and behaviours that may challenge.
He communicates using some verbal words at home, however in his specialist school he uses PECs. Theo requires 2:1 support to assist him daily and meet all his care needs.Overview of role:
The Support Worker will work alongside a team member to first establish, and then implement a morning and afterschool routine at home.
This routine will empower, motivate, and encourage Theo to be as independent as possible whilst ensuring all his health, therapy,care, medical and social needs are met.
Theo has a lot of potential and he thrives off routine; without this he can become overwhelmed, struggle to self-regulate and present with behaviours that may challenge.
The hours available:
Term time:
Monday to Friday7.00am - 9.00am and 3.30pm to 9.00pm. School holidays and weekends, Saturday and Sunday 7.00am - 8.00pm.
We are building a care team for Theo and have flexibility to work around your availability, we can offer full, part-time and bank contracts.
