  • Proven sales experience within B2B sales
  • Ideally sales within a manufacturing industry
  • Ideally, a marketing or business studies degree would be desirable

The role focuses on Staircase and Joinery Manufacturers, Builders and Developers, and other associated partners within the Construction Industry often involving a consultative sales strategy and developing strong relationships for repeat business.

You should be familiar with proposal creation for products to this industry sector and of course, have the ability to competently present the various features and benefits.

In particular, this role will suit someone with attention to detail, long-term planningskills, and a collaborative approach.
The role is approximately split 70/30 between sales and marketing. It is a hands-on role in a small progressive business.


Job Description:

Work with Directors and senior management to continue to develop and implement the national business development plan.

Key activities include:

  • Help monitor clients' objectives and satisfaction plus take a proactive role in key account client care and relationship development
  • Lead highquality, major tender submissions, and subsequent presentations
  • Undertake effective market research and collate market intelligence
  • Evaluate existing sales effectiveness, practices, personnel, skills, and training needs
  • Develop and implement a new sales strategy, defining resources, objectives, targets, and measurement processes
  • Assist in the recruitment and development of sales staff
  • Identify business opportunities and develop a stronger customer base, focusing particularly on key strategic market sectors in each region
  • Maintain information systems; keep records and customer data and provide key marketing information
  • Observe, review and report on competitor activity
  • Create and provide regular KPI reports for the team and other appropriate reports for Directors and management meetings
  • A strong relationship builder who gains support from internal and external contacts.

Experience:


  • Successful sales team development and management track record in a Sales and Marketing role
  • Experience within a similar industry is advantageous but not essential
  • Degree qualified (or equivalent); Business Studies, Marketing, or similar experience of working in a multidisciplinary environment is desirable though not essential

Hours:
Monday - Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm


Salary:
£45,000 - £55,000 per Annum
