With approaching 120 employees some Group Support functions also reside in Newport and remotely across the UK. Part of the Composite Structural Engineering team are also based in Newport, directly supporting customer innovation in multiple market segmentsPurpose of the Department Function
- Responsible for maintaining the businessrelated data held within the global systems in accordance with defined service level agreements
Description of the Role
- 22.5 hours a week, 3 days at 7.5 hours. Office based working
Responsible for the day to day maintenance of the Product master data within various systems for multiple sites around the world.
Willing to challenge, validate and accurately check the master data within the controlled systems and refer any inaccuracies, ensuring that the appropriate stake holders are consulted and informed in the approval process.
You will be required to maintain the departmental documents in line with the management systems and support the wider team with queriesKey Responsibilities
- CRM Product Master Data
Maintain and update the product master data and highlight any gaps in the information. Refer to respective PM's/Product requestors/site specific team members to arrange for missing data to be updated
Constant review of the products, search for duplicates, wrong segmentation and related master data
Take Ownership of the Product Master Data process within CRM, ensuring all analytics and meta data fields are aligned with the Group requirements
Constant reviews with PM and local sites to ensure relevant information is being collected and maintained
Review new product set ups and that the approval cycle is completed within the deadline for approvers
Suggest pro-active changes and improvements to the processes
Orchestrate Changes/updates to master data Run continuous reviews of the master data ensuring that any re-allocations of segments and missing information is updated within agreed timeframe/SLAs.
Master data must be 100% accurateSupport each of the Core sites during the ERP roll outs to ensure they have updated/migrated all codes to the new system.
Be pro-active in contacting the relevant teams to provide support and training neededProduct Data administration:
Support the Global Master Data Manager with maintaining and updating information with the use of bulk export and import of large data sets
Check to see that only products that will continue to be manufactured/sold are transferred to the new system - liaise with PM's and local sites to run checks on a regular basis
Support the implementation of product reference transitions within CRM
Work with PM's to maintain current processes for NPD/NPI ensuring information is aligned in CRM
Skills and Experience

Proven experience of working within an administrative role involving processing a high volume of work while maintaining a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
Previous experience of working within a Manufacturing organisation or Commercial Office (advantageous).
Experience of managing projects (advantageous)
Business Administrative qualification (advantageous)
Other qualifications which demonstrate a broader understanding of business practices and constraints would be an advantage
