A exciting opportunity has come to the market, our Glasgow based client is seeking an experienced Construction Recruitment Consultant to head up the Construction, Department possibly would suit a Principle looking for the next step in their career.


As the Head of Construction within a recruitment agency and an entrepreneurial individual, you have a unique position to lead and grow a subsidiary company focused on construction recruitment.

This subsidiary company will specialise in providing skilled blue collar labour, white collar professionals, and other construction-related staffing solutions to clients in the industry.


What we expect from you:


Responsible for building a Construction Division, working closely with the Managing Director to become a leading brand across the UK suppling both temporary and permanent labour to the UK Construction and Infrastructure Market.

Conduct thorough market research to understand the demand for construction recruitment services in your target area. Identify potential clients, competitors, and emerging trends in the industry.


Build a strong brand identity that resonates with construction clients, working with your network, group network to raise awareness about your services and attract potential clients.


Leverage your existing network and contacts within the construction industry, attend industry conferences, participate in networking events, and engage in targeted outreach to construction companies, contractors, and developers.


Provide bespoke services that will include temporary staffing, permanent placements, executive search, contract management, and specialised recruitment for specific construction roles (e.g., architects, engineers, project managers).

Ensure that the company complies with all relevant legal requirements and regulations, including employment laws and data protection regulations.

Understand the operational infrastructure to manage the recruitment process efficiently. This includes applicant tracking systems, establishing screening and interviewing procedures, and developing relationships within your discipline

Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and evolving recruitment practices. Continuously assess and adapt your strategies to stay ahead of the competition and provide innovative solutions to your clients.


What we want from you:


  • You will have at least 3 years experience as a successful billing recruiter.
  • Experience of working with a start up division would be advantageous but not necessary.
  • Full understanding of the commercial aspects of a business.
  • Drive, resilience and energy to work within a fast pace environment.
  • Ability to collaborate and support new colleagues within the division.
  • Has worked across a Construction and Engineering discipline.
  • A self starter, that enjoys building new foundations.
  • Can evidence your financial billings across either a temp or permanent desk.

Salary:
£50,000.00-£55,000.00 per year
