Driver and Market Logistics Coordinator

Purpose of this Role:

The purpose of this role is to ensure the safe and efficient movement and coordination of equipment, stock, and other Biltong Boss goods to ensure that they are in the right place to meet the requirements of the business, on time and to the standard required in the most cost-effective way.

Market arm.

• General and Task Management
• Driver i. Be aware of the day's journey ahead of time including the logical route of delivery and allowing for any timed drops or other irregularities and differences. ii. Where possible avoid congestion charge zones and the Rotherhithe Tunnel.

Ensure your plan takes these into account. iii. To adhere to transport legislation. iv. To check the vehicle in accordance with the Company Van Policy and to take any necessary action where needed. v.

To load and unload goods safely, efficiently, and always in a considerate and polite manner always considering the care and attention for the public and fellow traders.

To load and unload goods in line with check lists and other such documentations that may be provided from time to time.

vii. Provide visual proof of setups at each of the locations following setup to

Management. viii. Be on standby to support Market Operators in the event of an emergency. ix. As and when required deliver orders to customers x. As and when required pick up stock order from supplier.

• Logistics Coordinator i. Pack and Clean the Kit Boxes on a weekly basis (generally a Monday) in preparation for the weekend markets and events. ii. Maintain the levels of wear and tear on all the operational equipment. Where

necessary provide maintenance or advise Management of any broken equipment that cannot be fixed. iii. Turn Stock Boxes and Kit Boxes around as required. Generally, on a Saturday evening, but should be considered as and when needed during the business. iv. Carry out a planned maintenance schedule every eight (8) weeks, thoroughly checking all equipment. v. Ensure that the Container is always kept neat and tidy. vi. Ensure that the Warehouse is always kept neat and tidy. Items should be returned to their place after use.

• Other i. Provide support where required to Head Office Team
• Draft Work Schedule
• As and when required for the setup of an event or business activity outside the normal schedule. We will endeavour to communicate this with you ahead of time to give you sufficient notice of the change/addition.
• You will be given a weekend (Saturday and Sunday) off every eight weeks, or as arranged.

These hours must be made up within that week to carry out the planned maintenance schedule.

• Communication
• You are issued with a company phone. During working hours, you are expected to be available. On your off days and after working hours you are required to respond to messages and phone calls in a reasonable time frame. Please ensure that your mobile phone is always kept on you in the case of an emergency when you may be required to come in.
