Description
Tate Steel LTD are a new and growing company within the construction sector and we have an exciting opportunity for a skilled sheet metal worker / fabricator to manufacture masonry support systems, cavity tray and lintels ect, from our all new fabrication facility in Knowsley.
Main responsibilities include:
- Working as an effective fabrication / sheet metal worker and machine operator within an engineering environment.
- Conforming with company standards and all necessary Health and Safety at Work legal requirements
- Operating and maintaining the machinery including press brake folder, bandsaw, welding plant safely, and as per specifications in accordance with the RAMS for the safe use of the machinery.
- Maintain Housekeeping Daily and as you perform the task in hand, within your own work area and the whole of the workshop.
- Completing any other reasonable tasks or requests as required, to meet business and departmental needs.
- Coordinate effectively with management to ensure the smooth operation of the business.
- Manage own workload and time to ensure efficient and effective production.
- Training will be provided where appropriate.
- Be a time served fabricator/sheet metal worker with evidence of appropriate college training. (i.e. NVQ's, City & Guilds)
- Be confident in MIG and TIG welding processes.
- Have good knowledge of Health and Safety at work. Ongoing training will be offered in this area.
- Be familiar working within a fabrication environment and with machinery.
- Have the ability to communicate in a professional but friendly manner working to peers' strength and abilities.
- Have good attention to detail with a commitment to ensuring quality & quantity of output.
- Be flexible, able to work in all areas on their own or as part of a team.
- Display personal attributes, which include tenacity, resilience, a positive disposition, a "cando" attitude, assertiveness & a high degree of determination to succeed.
