Baxter's is family owned business established in 1994 that specialises in the transportation of recycled products,throughout the last 24 months we have been growing and taking on new opportunities, which has led to a need to increase our fleet size.

As a consequence of internal promotion we have an exciting opportunity for an Heavy goods Mechanic to join our team.

We are looking for a highly motivated individual, with the ability to work under their own initiative, the Workshop is a busy environment working on our own fleet of trucks and trailers and is essential to the smooth operation of Baxter's.

The position is a full-time, permanent role covering the hours of hours Monday to Friday and 7 am - 12 pm on a Saturday rota.

As an LGV Mechanic, you will be based in a busy workshop environment where you will be required to undertake all levels of maintenance and repairs as well as diagnostics.

Maintaining and repairing vehicles and trailers in a safe and efficient manner in accordance with current legislation
Routine vehicle maintenance to VOSA/DVSA standards
Preparation and presentation of vehicles and trailers for an annual MOT inspection
Good housekeeping routines to meet health & safety requirements and maintain a safe workplace
Ensure all paperwork is completed to a high standard
Utilise all personal protective equipment as necessary
Experience in working on a wide range of modern heavy commercial vehicles and trailers is ideal.
