Are you looking for the next step on your career ladder or looking to gain more experience as a Consultant? If you are interested in a position of whole time or maximum part-time Consultant in Emergency Medicine this may be the perfect opportunity.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join and expand further our dynamic and well-respected Emergency Medicine team here at Barnsley Hospital.

We are looking for two consultants to join the existing team.

The successful applicant will join a team of twenty substantive consultants.

Each member of the consultant team demonstrates clinical excellence, and each brings additional skills to the team, including research, teaching, education and management.

Most importantly, the team work collaboratively together.

As of March 2021, we opened our newly completed Paediatric ED and co-located Childrens Assessment Unit (CAU).

As of June 2021, we now have extended capacity within our majors area adding further cubicle space and a fit to sit area.

The trust has also recently opened a simulation suite.

Applicants with special interests / sub specialty interest in Paediatrics, education / simulation, leadership or quality improvement are welcome.
