Design Engineer – Machinery ManufacturerIpswich, Suffolk
£35,000 - £40,000
Full-time, Permanent
polkadotfrog is proud to be working with a very long-established company in Ipswich that manufactures industrial machinery used in a variety of industries.
Due to business expansion, they are looking for a Project Engineer to support the delivery of customer orders from start to finish.
The RoleThis is a practical, varied position where you'll be involved in many parts of the project process
Typical duties include:
Generating top down / parametric 3D CAD Models using Autodesk Inventor for 3D mainly and AutoCAD for 2D
Helping plan and organise engineering projects from sales order to commissioning
Speaking with customers to understand their needs to provide project specific solutions
Producing product specifications
Supporting improvements to machinery and processes
Providing technical support on consumables
Ensure project and spears drawings are up to date
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
From an engineering background
Comfortable working in a small team where everyone gets involved
Organised and able to manage several tasks at once
Confident speaking with customers and colleagues
Practical, hands-on and able to solve problems as they arise
Experience with industrial machines or similar heavy equipment is helpful but not essential if you have the right attitude and technical understanding.
