We are looking for a motivated Welding Engineer to join a market leading manufacturer in their respective field.

Reporting directly to the Technical Manager you will be a key member in ensuring the With a strong technical and metallurgical background, youwill have the ability to support and guide the technical and production teams in the production of high-quality castings.

Using good communication to achieve objectives you will demonstrate a high level of technical expertise and engage the various operationaland technical teams and work to support their objectives, delivering a consistent and high level of performance.

Role Description

Regular inspection of welding operations and associated operations to ensure quality and compliance
Maintenance of welding equipment calibrations within the Foundry business.
Supervision of welding operations as required.
Development, qualification, writing and monitoring of welding procedures in line with international and customer standards.
Review of subcontract welding procedures and processes.
Technical control and purchasing of welding consumables and equipment.
Qualification and maintenance of qualifications for welders and welding operators.
Achieve and maintain international welding code/standard approval/certificates

Skills and Qualifications

International Welding Specialist, Technologist or Engineer. If not currently held or working towards an expectation of this role is that this will be undertaken.
