Location:

The role is based at our Halifax depot, but flexibility and mobility is required to carry out the task.

Garage Supervisor - The Role:

This is a role, created as part of the Compliance Team, playing a senior role in the team you will be working under the direct instruction of the Fleet Director.

The appointment will enjoy a varied work load and will have opportunity to help grow and develop their own skills within the Company in the various divisions of the company, contributing to the Company's development and their own prospects for promotion.

Garage Supervisor - Key Responsibilities:

Complete internal paperwork / CRM updates.
Plan, organize, supervise and coordinate the daytoday running of the garage
Assist in the diagnosis of problems and repairing of vehicles as needed.
Service / repair / Inspect vehicles, trailers and plant to MOT standard
Maintain current product knowledge and attend training courses as required
Ensure the planned shift workload is completed and / or handed over to next shift to facilitate ease of handover
Ensure that necessary spare parts, materials and equipment are available or obtainable at short notice.
Liaison with Operations team to ensure vehicles availability for scheduled inspections
Any other reasonable duties as workload requires

Garage Supervisor - You:

City & Guilds or NVQ qualified technician.
The ability to organise work on own initiative and work under pressure
Experience working with trailers, hydraulic systems and electrical systems
Experience of Diagnostic computers would be an advantage.
Ability to work as part of a team
Having a C+E (class 1) Licence would be preferred but not essential
Selfmotivated and an effective team player.
Good Computer skills previous use of CRM system preferred.
Positive approach to management of change.
Effective communicator at all levels.
To contribute to the department's strategic vision of the company's requirements.

Conditions

Anticipated normal working hours are 06.00 to 18.00 Hours shifts, with one hour breaks, on a 4 on 4 off, rolling shift pattern.
Overtime working is required by the demands of the business.
20 days Holiday per year including Bank Holiday
