Job Overview:
At Cairellot Nursery we provide a safe nurturing and creative environment for children where children can thrive and learn. We are seeking a skilled and reliable Handy Man to join our team.

As a Handy Man, you will be responsible for performing various maintenance and repair tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.


Job Summary:
- responsible for repairs, renewals and maintenance throughout the nursery day, which may include (not limited to) carpentry work, electrical, plumbing, painting, flooring and general repairs.


Duties:


  • Conducting routine inspections of premises and equipment
  • Performing general maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, and plumbing repairs
  • Assisting of setting up of spaces and events when required.
  • Liaising with external contracters
  • Maintain inventory of repair equipment and supplies
  • Responding to emergency situations including power outage, security alarms
  • Responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner
  • Keeping accurate records of repairs and maintenance activities
  • Supporting the overall health and safety and operational functioning of the service.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Handy Man or similar role
  • Solid knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Proficient in using hand and power tools
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Strong problemsolving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively
  • Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy objects

Pay:
£12.50 per hour
