Senior Accountant

We are recruiting a pro-active and motivated senior team member to join a Practice based in Rugby. The Firm are a progressive and forward thinking accountancy practice looking to continue moving with the times.

Duties will include:

Client Queries, calls, meetings and adhoc touch points; meetings and calls with new clients as required; provide adhoc support to whole client base include seeing clients as required.
Complete technical Accounts and Tax research for clients and report to directors
Assist with supervision and training of team in Accounts Preparation or Tax Return work
Preparation of Personal Tax Returns
Accounts Preparation (Sole Trader, Partnership, Limited etc); Finalisation of Accounts to send to Clients.
Preparation of information for P11d purposes
Draft Accounts and Final Accounts and iXBRL Reviews and feedback or further training with team members
Preparation of Corporation tax calculations and returns; Draft review and Final Review of Tax Calculations
Adhoc Compliance work as required
Dealing with HMRC Correspondence and Queries as required

We are looking for someone who has the following skills and work ethic:

An ACCA or an ACA qualified with minimum of 2 years post qualification experience.
Minimum of 5 years Practice Experience
A person who is proactive and takes responsibility for their work
Motivated, efficient and organised
Works well as part of a team, as an individual and can take the lead
Is accurate with the work they complete and can work to tight deadlines
Great Communication Skills
Ability to solve problems independently
Computer literate, ability to use software like IRIS, Microsoft Word and Excel, QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage.
