Marketing Operations Manager

We are looking for those of you who wish to grow with us as a business in our Bromsgrove office with hybrid working opportunities.

Working closely with the wider Marketing team, the Marketing Operations Manager is responsible for leading and managing the Marketing Operations team to deliver two main areas: overseeing all aspects of marketing department operations; and overseeing theproduction of all mandatory reports / client-facing communications that support the financial advice process.


Key Responsibilities as our Marketing Operations Manager will include:

  • Manage all aspects of Marketing Operations and lead the team, supporting the Marketing Director in developing the team business plan in accordance with overall business strategy.
  • Proactively seek new technologies, processes and efficiencies which assist in delivery of department or business objectives.
  • Streamline and oversee the Marketing risk/compliance approvals process and ensure that any materials owned by the department comply with FCA rules on Financial Promotions.
  • Overseeing the development, production, and maintenance of mandatory reports / clientfacing communications (print and digital) and collateral for AFH Group companies and brands, ensuring tone of voice and brand guidelines are strictly adhered to.
  • Manage and enhance relationships with external suppliers, implementing supplier tenders and contracts where necessary.
  • Support our adviser community with the development and production of branded collateral to support their interactions with new and existing clients.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the client advice process, propositions, funds, and products.
  • Oversee the management of the print, storage, and distribution of mandatory and marketing promotional collateral to key stakeholders (including advisers) and clients.
  • Advocate and promote Plain English in all collateral that promotes client understanding.
  • Understand and monitor the costs of marketing activities and manage the marketing budget.
  • Process Management; identify, design, and document scalable processes that enable the marketing team to be more effective in their daily work and drive alignment within the department (including workflow management to the creative team).

What we are looking for in our ideal Marketing Operations Manager:

  • Previous experience gained with similar responsibilities in a fast-moving brand.
  • Experience with reporting and analytics using your high attention to detail to draw insights and intelligence from marketing data.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentational skills, capable of conveying even the most complex concepts in simplified, easy to understand, and digestible terms with a focus on creating strong and meaningful relationships
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills in order to project manage and ensure efficient running of the team, using your problem skills and proactive ability.
  • Extremely proficient in Ms Word, PowerPoint, and Ms Excel.
