Health Care Assistant - Paediatric Accident and Emergency An exciting opportunity has arisen for Healthcare Assistants to join the Paediatric Emergency Department team at Kettering General Hospital.


The Paediatric Emergency Department team is expanding following a recent work force review and we are now seeking highly motivated and compassionate individuals to join our team.


The Paediatric ED is an exciting and unpredictable place of work, the nature and the pace of the job can change dramatically.

If you are dynamic, calm, caring and a professional individual who enjoys a challenge then this could be the job for you The Paediatric Emergency Department offers a wide range of emergency services including minor injuries, adult, children's and a level 2 trauma unit.

Working within the Paediatric ED department will give you an opportunity to develop your specialist skill set and knowledge base.

The shift pattern will be 07:00 - 19:30 and 19:00-07:30 and you will be expected to rotate and work weekends


Your key roles & responsibilities will include:
Supporting the Registered Nurse in the delivery of high quality and compassionate patient centred care.


Being actively involved in ensuring the environment and equipment is clean, maintained, tidy and well stocked and undertake daily housekeeping roles in line with the service.

To contribute to the effective running of the department by concentrating on tasks that directly support the
needs of the patient and assists their journey, prioritising on patients as required.


To work under the supervision of a registered healthcare practitioner at all times, working within the parameters of their competence, communicating and documenting appropriate and relevant information to other members of the multidisciplinary team in a professional timely manner.

This position requires NVQ Level 2 in a Health and Social Care and previous Healthcare experience in a hospital.
