We have a super opportunity for a Maintenance Assistant to work with a small team and look after the daily facilities & maintenance of a local School in Surrey-Due to the location, you will need your own transport.


Hours: 7.30-5pm & in the holidays 8-4.30pm Mon-Fri with FREE lunches & FREE parking
Your duties will include general facilities maintenance. In addition, you will assist in a full range of running repairs, building works, porterage and ground maintenance tasks. Some minibus driving may be necessary.

  • Assist with car parking and traffic control
  • Report all defects which require specialist repair
  • Replace lamps/lights/tubes and domestic fuses as required
  • Inspect plumbing and report/repair defects as appropriate
  • Undertake minor repairs to fixtures and fittings including desks, tables, chairs and any other deemed appropriate by the Line Manager
  • Stock & Delivery management
  • Furniture moving and preparation of rooms and external premised as required
  • Health & Safety
  • General ad hoc duties as and when required for cover of sickness or holidays
  • Be able to work as part of a small team
  • Organised and able to prioritise workload
  • Competent with painting
  • Excellent communication skills
