As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing invaluable support to students with diverse learning needs.
Your responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant will include:
Assisting students with SEND in their day-to-day learning activities, offering one-on-one support when needed.
Collaborating closely with teachers to implement individualized education plans tailored to each student's requirements.
Creating a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued and encouraged to succeed.
Providing assistance with classroom activities, helping students with SEND to participate and engage effectively.
Monitoring student progress and providing feedback to teachers to inform educational planning.
Requirements of a SEND Teaching Assistant:
Previous experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a SEND setting.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
A genuine passion for supporting the learning and development of students with diverse needs.
Relevant qualifications in education or SEND support are desirable.
