Participation and Engagement Officer - Children in Care and Care Leavers
We are looking for a new team member

Are you committed to making a difference?

Do you have the skills to support young people to have their say?

Do you know the value of working together across our communities to learn and develop our services for young people?

Are you able to champion the voice of our young people, keeping young people at the core of the work?

This is a creative role, working with children and young people up to the age of 25 years. The team works together to create opportunities for young people across BCP. This role has a particular focus on children in care and those that are care experienced.

We work with groups and individuals to hear their views and use this to influence how young people are supported.

We aim to learn from young people and inspire them with skills and knowledge that can influence their futures. This takes dedication, flexibility and skills to enable young people to be include in a range of ways.


We work flexibly to create opportunities for young people to get involved - so you need to be able to work evenings and the occasional weekend.

As a result of the creation of BCP Council in 2019, we are working on simplifying our terms and conditions of service and will be creating a single pay structure which is to be applicable for all employees.

It is important to us that we offer benefits that our colleagues value as part of their total employment package and we are reviewing these to make sure we have it right.

We are in the process of establishing a timescale for implementation and colleagues joining us will be included in these changes.
