Accounts Assistant

Are you looking to build a career in a supportive and growing company?
We are seeking a motivated Accounts Assistant to join our growing finance team.

In this role, you will play a vital role in supporting the Financial Controller to ensure all group companies' accounting records are kept accurate, timely, and complete.


What you'll be doing:


  • Assist in preparing monthly Management Information.
  • Analyse accounts information, investigate variances, and report findings.
  • Prepare accruals, prepayments analysis, and assist with the annual yearend statutory audit.
  • Reconcile bank and other accounts, prepare & input journals into accounting systems.
  • Manage daily member payments, including processing, input, and reconciliation.
  • Maintain accurate supplier records, raise and control purchase orders, ensuring compliance with company guidelines.
  • Process purchase invoices, ensuring accurate posting to the purchase ledger.
  • Raise creditor payments and oversee customer credit control activities.
  • Assist the Financial Controller with general administration and projects as required.

What you'll bring:


  • Strong numeracy skills and experience with MS Office, including intermediate Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A strong team player with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Exceptional organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • The ability to work independently while also being confident in seeking guidance when needed.
  • A sound, systematic, and methodical approach to work.
  • The ability to communicate effectively at all levels.

Experience:


  • Minimum of 12 months' experience in an accounts environment.
  • Financial service sector (advantageous)

Hours of work:
Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, 35 hours per week

£23,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
