Entry requirements For those who do not have a GCSE level 4 (Grade C and above) or Functional skills level 2 in maths and English. It is a requirement that during your apprenticeship you must achieve functional skills level 2 in maths and English before your end point assessment. You will be supported to achieve this. Please note that you will be required to provide original certificates and/or predicted grades as proof for your eligibility checks. You must be 18 years of age before the start date to be eligible for this scheme.

As a Recruitment Apprentice at TfL, you'll learn all about our recruitment functions and how we are striving to be an 'employer of choice' You will learn all about the endtoend recruitment life cycle from workforce planning to job adverts and sourcing to onboarding every hire we make whether that be a high volume campaign or niche Fire Engineer. What will I be doing?
As an apprentice, your 18 month development programme will be made up of two placement rotations. Our aim is to equip you with the range of skills and experience that will give you a solid foundation for a successful career. We also understand that everyone's career is different, so every apprentice's journey is unique.

After completing Placement 1 and 2, there will potentially be an opportunity for a number of apprentices to shadow the Executive Recruitment team. This team creates a 'uniquely TfL' recruitment and onboarding experience for senior level talent, which is extremely high touch and helps to position TfL as an employer of choice and the 'best place to work'. You will shadow the Senior Executive Recruitment Consultants to build your confidence working with senior internal and external stakeholders and how you would adapt your communication style and ways of working when partnering with senior leaders.
You will get an insight into different research methods used to find and attract Executive level diverse talent, the importance of having a very high attention to detail as well as understand the difference in the planning and execution of these senior recruitment campaigns. TfL is striving to create a culture of diverse inclusive leaders and a workforce that represents the city of London and the recruitment teams are key in delivering this We also offer insight sessions that can help secure your knowledge of how recruitment sits beside our learning and development, onboarding, workforce planning and Human Resource steams. In each role you will understand the importance of working alongside other teams and how we are performing relative to Key Performance Indicators and evaluating our campaigns.
