Peterborough Positive is the city's Business Improvement District (BID).


Representing more than 400 businesses and organisations, Peterborough Positive is focused on delivering an ambitious business plan to transform the city centre - improving experiences, standards and adding value for all city users.


Leading on innovative projects and providing key investment, it aims to make the city centre a cleaner, safer and more welcoming place, raising its profile nationally with new, diverse and prestigious events and exciting marketing campaigns.


Peterborough Positive is seeking a talented Marketing and Projects Executive to help drive the successful delivery of the business plan and make a sustainable and positive difference to Peterborough city centre.

Purpose of role:

We're looking for a driven, creative and self-motivated marketing communications specialist to join our team to:

  • Strategically position and amplify Peterborough Positive as a proactive Business Improvement District that is delivering a comprehensive business plan to transform the city centre, by improving experiences, standards and adding value for levy-payers, residents, workers and visitors.
  • Support the delivery of innovative projects and activities based around business plan objectives that will provide key investment to make the city centre a cleaner, safer and more welcoming place, which in turn will help to raise its profile with new and diverse events and exciting marketing campaigns.
  • Oversee marketing communications with levypayers, stakeholders and partners.
  • Develop and lead the communication strategy.

Key responsibilities:


DIGITAL MARKETING

  • Create newsletters for our levy-payers and monitor its analytics.
  • Segment audiences into levy payer, stakeholder, partner and media distribution lists and manage accordingly.
  • Manage the Customer Relationship Management platform, working with the Business Improvement Manager to ensure the team is using it effectively to allow a true picture of Peterborough Positive activity.
  • Capture all Peterborough Positive events on video and by photograph (or commission a third party where required) for use on social media, website, newsletters, reports and for any other required digital and print publication.

SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Be responsible for the day-to-day management of Peterborough Positive's social media accounts, by creating a content planner and monitoring and evaluating performance / statistics on a weekly basis, creating regular reports and using
insight to inform future content.


  • Continuously assess social media trends and make recommendations for introducing new platforms and channels.

PROJECTS AND MARKETING MATERIALS

  • Lead on conception, planning and implementation of all marketing campaigns through understanding business needs, prioritising stakeholders and by realising submitted briefs.
  • Lead on the creation of collateral by designing in-house (newsletters, fliers, leaflets, posters) or briefing third-party design agencies when required, drafting copy, liaising with media and delivering all project and campaign assets to deadline.
  • Support the Business Improvement Manager with the successful management of event set up, set down and general administration of events and activities.
  • Create a photo library, ensuring it is up-to-date and clearly organised and that copyright agreements with photographers are adhered to and consent forms are managed accordingly.
  • Create a marketing planning calendar and associated delivery plans that dovetail into the overarching communications strategy.
  • Develop a brief for a third-party design agency to create brand guidelines for Peterborough Positive.
  • Liaise with businesses and partners to ensure effective management of promotional material and literature, policing use of the brand.

GENERAL

  • Assist with communications activities as and when required for other internal initiatives / external partners.
  • Support the Business Improvement Manager with any required marketing content for Board reports, working group meetings and presentations.
  • Analyse insights, market trends and demographics and relevant information to provide added value to Peterborough Positive's marketing tactics.
  • Establish and maintain KPIs for marketing campaigns and provide reports to the Business Improvement Manager on effectiveness and ROI.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance of all marketing activity and databases.
