Role Overview:
Our client is expanding and seeking a highly experienced individual to set up and lead a new Energy and Sustainability team.
This role reflects the company's growth and commitment to sustainability, requiring a seasoned professional with substantial experience in the sector to establish and manage a team of consultants.
The team will deliver comprehensive Energy and Sustainability services for due diligence and planning projects nationwide.Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Establish and manage the Energy and Sustainability team, ensuring effective allocation of work, consistent workflow, and timely project completion.
Client Liaison:
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong communication and ensuring the delivery of excellent and consistent services.
Strategy Development:
Develop and implement energy and sustainability strategies, focusing on carbon management, net zero targets, energy strategy, and ESG.
Relationship Building:
Foster strong relationships within the team and with Directors, ensuring alignment with company goals and values.
Influence and Communication:
Effectively communicate the importance of energy and sustainability initiatives, influencing stakeholders and promoting team efforts.
Key Qualifications and Skills:
Experience:
Extensive senior-level experience in the Energy and Sustainability sector, particularly within planning projects.
Leadership:
Proven track record in managing and leading teams, with strong people management skills.
Technical Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of carbon management, net zero strategies, energy strategy, and ESG.
Communication:
Excellent communication and client liaison skills, capable of maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring high service standards.
Organisational Skills:
Well-organised with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Location Flexibility:
Willingness to be based in London or any of our regional offices (Midlands, Essex, Kent, Ipswich, Bristol, Edinburgh)
