Job Mission:

To be responsible for the effective supervision of the Food and Beverage team members as specified in the Meliá White House Food & Beverage Standard Operating Procedures.

To also develop, maintain, improve and train the Meliá White House Food & Beverage standard operating procedures


What will I have to do?

  • To ensure all F&B staff is fully conversant with the Hotel's Health and Safety Policy and safe working practices are adhered to at alltime within the department.
  • To ensure that all F&B staff comply with the Hotel's Security Policy and Procedures.
  • To report any hazards to the relevant departments as soon as possible. To ensure all accidents that occur are recorded in the Accident Report Book.
  • To ensure that all daily and monthly cleaning tasks are clearly displayed adhered to and signed and completed as required.
  • To assist in recruiting, selecting, inducting, appraising and developing all new staff within the F&B outlets as per the Company's guidelines.
  • To give full commitment in developing and keeping up to date the departmental S.O.P. Manual. To be involved in all aspects of training within the departments, including on the job training, evaluation and all the recording of all training records.
  • Have an operational knowledge of all food items, dishes, wines and other alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages served in all Food and Beverage departments
  • To handle guest and customer complaints with precision, speed and in a professional manner.
  • Assign all the staff to the mandatory training and make sure that the rota is done accordingly to the training. Making sure that all the elearning courses are done in a time, and assist the junior staff if they have difficulties
  • Being able to input rota, understanding of the program, assisting the staff by explaining the hour assignment and making sure that the sign in/out is done daily by all the staff.
  • Regularly review house accounts, forecast and VIP list and maintain the confidentiality of the hotel and its guests and inform the staff constantly.
  • Always maintain professional, effective, and motivated working relationships, taking into account differences in cultures, backgrounds, and individual personalities
  • Be an example for junior staff to always interact with guests in accordance with the Melia Values, and to provide an excellent experience to our customers.
  • Full knowledge about all the F&B product, including prices and service standards
  • Willing to work at any of the F&B outlet required by the management. Understanding the business needs and prioritize in which department are F&B Supervisors needed.
