Service Engineer

Salary - £12 - £16 per hour

Hours Hours Per Week (Flexibility Required)

Location - Huddersfield, West Yorkshire - Travel Required

Driving License Essential

Are you a driven, well-rounded Mechanical Engineer who is looking for an opportunity to work within routine and reactive maintenance and fitting? Our client have the perfect opportunity for an Engineer to join their leading company in their servicing team,after their successes over the last few months and new business being secured.

This is a great opportunity to join a well-established leader within maintenance within rotational equipment.
Key duties of the Service Engineer include, but are not limited to:

  • Undertake repairs and services using reactive/routine Mechanical Engineering and Fitting knowledge
  • Troubleshooting errors and/or failures on site, solving and developing solutions
  • Conducting vibration analysis on rotating machinery
  • Complete condition monitoring on rotating machinery
  • Refurbishment and upgrading of air handling units
  • Accurate reporting on servicing and technical inspections
  • Providing a frontfacing, first class customer service while on site
  • Conduct yourself safely, being risk aware and managing H&S while on site
  • Processing relevant documentation

Key Skills and Experience of a Service Engineer:

  • Mechanical Engineering qualification (C&G, ONC, Apprenticeship or equivalent)
  • Best practice of reactive and routine Mechanical Engineering
  • Broad knowledge of pumps, fans, motors, filters, coils, dampers and bearings
  • Literacy and computer skills
  • Experience of measuring, interpreting and analysing data to draw conclusions from
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment
  • Capable of working to your own initiative
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines and high levels of accuracy
  • Methodical approach

Desirable attributes of a Service Engineer:

  • Experience within repairs
  • Experience in an Engineering environment
