Job Description - Admin Assistant - 5 days a week pm)
Are you organised and adaptable and looking for a challenging but rewarding role?
We work for the major gas network companies carrying out the civil engineering by maintaining the gas pipelines all over the UK.
Responsibilities
- Actioning notices to council for road closures, traffic lights and general works on highway
- Assisting with streetworks & opening notices, dealing with Highway depts
- Assisting with the logistics of plant & materials for various sites
- Assisting with procurement
- Preparing files for site
- Ordering and co ordinating plant hire and materials
- Maintain the calibration of equipment every 6 months
- Maintaining training requirements & records for engineers
- Maintaining our fleet of vehicles, MOT, service, and general maintenance
- Maintaining our Quality Management System & other accreditations ie.
- General admin (stationery ordering, answering phones, scanning and photocopying)
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
- Strong communication skills and have an excellent telephone manner
- Strong ability to multitask & think out of the box
- Ability to work on own initiative & be adaptive to change
- Good attention to detail
- Friendly and upbeat demeanour
- Experience with administrative and clerical work
Job Types:

Salary:
£21,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
