Description
To work closely with key partners who can influence the Health Improvement and Inequalities programme across the partnership, e.g. Health care, Local Authority, CSU, Acute Trust, and Voluntary sector staff.

To identify the training needs of healthcare and other professionals and facilitate the delivery of programmes that will increase their skills and capacity to enable them to improve health and reduce inequalities in health.

To use project management tools to ensure all health improvement interventions or events have clear aims and objectives, are monitored and evaluated, sharing best practice as appropriate To develop community capacity through the provision of training and skills development and to enable community members to make decisions and be able to develop community-led health and well-being projects To analyse health data and related health information to identify local health needs in order to inform policy and practice in a targeted way.


To produce accurate reports, monitor and evaluate projects as required, ensuring work conforms to and meets the standards and targets set by the Public Health Outcomes Framework.

To undertake appropriate professional development as identified in the post holders personal development plan. Staff co-ordination and supervision may be required, with sessional staff management and student supervision also on occasions.
