Administrator (flexible hours)

Wellington, Somerset (office based)

£23,000 - £25,000 PA DOE

Hours of work:


9am - 4.30pm Monday to Friday (30-minute lunch break) Our client are also open to applicants who want to work school hours and are flexible on start and finish time.


About the company:

A successful and growing Southwest utilities company that value their clients and provide a professional and efficient service.

You will provide administrative support within the office, undertaking general office duties, as well as operations administrative support.

  • Answering the telephone and directing incoming telephone calls.
  • Preparation and collation of all office and works paperwork, including accurate electronic document filing.
  • Assisting with preparation of cost breakdowns for approval.
  • Helping with end of month spreadsheets.
  • Processing invoices on the internal finance system and update sales spreadsheets.
  • Create and manage Purchase Orders as required.
  • Adding new suppliers to the system.
  • Helping oversee the ordering of PPE.
  • Processing expenses receipts and logging on the system.
  • Maintaining stationary stock.
  • Booking accommodation, and some adhoc flight/train travel arrangements.
  • Looking after daily outgoing post.
  • Providing full office cover in the event of absence of other office staff.

The ideal Administrator:


  • Previous experience within an office based administrative role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good IT skills knowledge of MS Office and the ability to pick up new systems.
  • Experience of managing administrative processes with excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Organised and able to use own initiative.
