Regulatory Compliance - Product Stewardship

Location - Oxfordshire

Industry - Chemicals


Our client is an innovative chemicals company, based in Oxfordshire, and focusses on the research and development of chemicals for improved sustainability.

A position has now become available to join the Regulatory Compliance team and support with Product Stewardship.

This role is focussed around maintaining regulatory compliance, primarily within the EMEA regions with occasional support to other areas.

Due to the nature of the products, the role would suit individuals with a strong knowledge of the chemical industry and prior experience with either product stewardship or regulatory compliance.

The role looks to communicate an understanding of products and their impact throughout the product lifecycle.


Core responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance of regulatory compliance inline with EMEA regulations
  • Provide technical expertise in regulatory assessments for new products
  • Support with the wider regulatory team with the communication of regulatory developments to strengthen department knowledge
  • Utilise internal administrative and tracking systems to ensure regulatory compliance
  • Support in the resolution of regulatory issues

Suitable applicants will have:

  • Prior experience within a Regulatory role within the Chemicals sector
  • Knowledge of Global Harmonized Systems (GHS) and chemical classification
  • Familiarity with the Regulatory requirements and processes for the EMEA region
  • Prior experience working with large IT Systems for Regulatory tracking
  • BSc (or equivalent) in a relevant Chemistry discipline
  • Good communication skills and attention to detail
