    Job Description for Experienced Qualified Electrician

    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Domestic Electrician to join our team at Gilmartins. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 3 Diploma in Electrical Installation (or equivalent electrician qualification) and be familiar with the BS7671:2018 Wiring Regulations for 18th Edition. Additionally, they should possess a 2391 Testing & Inspection qualification.

    Gilmartins operates in social housing and provides reactive repairs for local authorities and housing associations. To succeed in this role, applicants should have prior experience working in social housing.

    The job requires frequent travel within the South East London area, encompassing Kennington, Streatham, Bexley, Bromley, Croydon, Southwark, and Lambeth. Our properties are situated throughout these areas, necessitating regular travel as part of the job.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Perform property repairs and maintenance works in social housing settings
    • Work according to the specified Scope of Works outlined in the PDA for each job

    Requirements for the Position:

    • Hold a valid UK manual driving license (not EU or automatic)
    • Possess a set of personal tools
    • Be fully qualified and able to provide copies of certificates
    • Have experience working in social housing environments
    • Hold a DBS certificate
    • Possess an ECS card (ideally)
