About you and the role
We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate to join our Portfolio Management team. In this role, you will support the Investment Director in managing our diverse and growing investment portfolio.

Your expertise will be pivotal in leading advanced due diligence processes, developing sophisticated financial models, and preparing detailed investment papers.

This role is an excellent opportunity to demonstrate leadership and expertise in investment management.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Lead due diligence for complex, highvalue followon investment opportunities.
  • Analyse financial statements and market data to assess investment viability and risks.
  • Develop and enhance detailed financial models for forecasting and valuation.
  • Draft and present comprehensive investment papers to senior management.
  • Recommend strategies for investment structures in alignment with the Bank's goals.
  • Mentor and guide junior staff, fostering their development in investment management.
  • Collaborate closely with internal teams like Risk, Legal, and Impact Assessment.
  • Stay updated on financial market trends, focusing on sectors relevant to the Bank's investments.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key players in the Scottish financial ecosystem.

Skills and Experience:


  • Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related fields; CFA or similar qualifications preferred.
  • Significant experience in investment analysis, financial modeling, and due diligence.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in managing projects or transaction components.
  • Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and problemsolving abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective reporting and stakeholder engagement.
  • Deep knowledge of financial markets, particularly in sustainable investments.
  • Commitment to ethical investment practices and understanding of ESG factors.
  • Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks.
  • Willingness to mentor juniors and contribute to the team's success.


You will be competitively remunerated whilst adding value to our organisation in all that you do, including 30 days annual leave plus public holidays and pension.

The Bank's team continue to work flexibly from our hub offices in Edinburgh or Glasgow with home working.
