Introduction:

A Manufacturing organisation based near the Caerphilly area are on the lookout for a Buyer to join their team.

This is an exciting role as it will give you the opportunity to work closely with the UK Purchasing Manager, taking the lead on some major supplieraccounts within the organisation.

With a new Manufacturing facility on the horizon in South Wales, this is a role that will provide a great deal of opportunity internally.


Role Overview:

You will contribute to the efficient day-to-day operation of the UK purchasing office.

  • Daily negotiations with suppliers to achieve best value price and T&Cs.
  • Liaising with suppliers to ensure goods are received on time and in full.
  • Proactive review of all Raw Material sources.
  • Implementing risk mitigation for areas of single source Supply, and support with the implementation of supplier KPI metrics.

Desirable Experience:


  • 3+ years experience working in Buyer/Purchasing type position.
  • Any experience of working with SAP system would be helpful but not essential.
  • If you have experience of Import and Customs Clearance Procedures, that would be beneficial but not essential.
