Job description - Accounts Assistant - Linton


We are looking for an experienced all-round Accounts Assistant for a permanent role with a fantastic manufacturing company in the Linton area (Yorkshire).

They will work in a small team and assist the Finance Manager with general Accounting duties.

Salary - up to £28,000 per annum

Working hours: 8:30am - 5pm (Monday - Thursday)

8:30am - 4pm (Friday)

Free parking on site


The Role:


  • Sales & Purchase Order Ledger Management (Sage)
  • Preparation of data for Monthly Management Accounts
  • Correlation of incoming and outgoing transactions
  • Debt chasing
  • Invoices
  • Credit Control
  • Service agreements
  • Bank Reconciliation
  • VAT Reconciliation & Payment
  • Scheduling of payments within banking system
  • Inputting accruals & payments
  • Providing lease schedules
  • Other aspects of management accounts

The Person:


  • Experience in most of the above
  • Strong Excel use for data manipulation
  • Ability to work on own initiative and manage own workload and activities
  • SAGE experience (desired)
  • Someone who wants to learn Credit Control & Management Accounts
