Behaviour Mentor required to provide 1-2-1 and small group support for the full academic year.

Are you a Behaviour Mentor or Teacher Assistant with previous experience working within Alternative Provisions? Do you have excellent communication skills andgood behaviour management? This small AP are looking to add an experienced Behaviour Mentor or Teaching Assistant to the team to support on an ongoing basis.

As a Behaviour Mentor you will be working on a 1-2-1 or small group basis, delivering positive intervention and supporting in the classrooms.

You will be joining an established team of Behavioural support staff and Teaching Assistants, who are committed tomaking a difference.

Staff are supportive, and the leadership team will provide you with outstanding support. This role requires an experienced Behaviour Mentor, and a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable, however not essential.

Job Role:

  • Supporting students with a range of additional needs
  • Delivering intervention sessions focused on positive behaviours
  • Helping students to understand the impact of their actions
  • Acting as a positive role model
  • Working with a small team of Behaviour Mentors and Teaching Assistants

Requirements:


  • Level 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification
  • Experience supporting children with Special Educational Needs or SEMH needs
  • A positive attitude and passion for making a difference
  • Good classroom management and an abundance of patience
