Joining an established organisation, the role of H&S Manager covers two sites, one based in Hampshire and the second in Buckinghamshire.

Ideally you will reside in or around Reading, or Maidenhead for a convenient commute.

On offer is a salary range of upto £40,000 per year plus mileage allowance, and the opportunity to develop professionally and personally within a growing organisation.

The role of H&S Manager would suit a capable and competent individual who has a personable approach and problem solving mindset.

You will have strong leadership qualities with the drive to establish and implement continuous improvement.

You will be playing a major role within both sites and as such will be given the reigns to develop and implement new processes, identifying development needs and suggesting new Health and Safety technology solutions to senior management and all staff.

H&S Manager role responsibilities

Ensuring the teams performance is in accordance with all standards (e.g., ISO 9001:2015 and AS9120)
Undertake risk assessments, fire safety management
To maintain evaluate, develop, and review health and safety policy and practice and implement new policy and documentation
Responsibility for a Health & Safety budget, ensuring that spend is tracked and reported
Building relationships to identify and meet employee training needs in relation to health and safety
Overseeing all Health and Safety policies and ensuring these are in line with current legislation

H&S Manager Essential criteria

You will have a background in H&S within the warehouse and distribution sector
National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety
Experience with fire safety management
Leadership experience
Full UK driving licence
Located within a reasonable commute between North Hampshire/South Buckinghamshire
