This is an exciting time to join Sovereign as we move forward with our new operating model.

We have created 10 regions across the South called Localities so that we have the right people in the right place to deliver our services to our customers.

We have an opportunity for a
Scheme Officer to join our team on a permanent basis covering our Housing for Older People Schemes in the Oxfordshire Locality.

You will be making sure the buildings and facilities in our Housing for Older People accommodation is safe, well managed, compliant and meets our Health & Safety standards.

You'll will be an integral part of ensuring our neighbourhoods stay in excellent condition, whilst listening to our residents needs and implementing changes where needed.

You will have a Sovereign office base, but you'll manage your own diary and will predominantly be working from home or at the scheme office.

The starting salary will be £21,500 - £24,000 depending on experience.

The role

As a
Scheme Officer you will be part of a small team ensuring that our Housing for Older People Schemes are safe, compliant and and an enjoyable place for our customers to live.

You'll take a proactive approach to health and safety, managing a programme of routine checks on the buildings and raising orders for works with our Property Services team.

You will also work with our customers to ensure they have successful tenancies, signposting them to the wider team or external agencies for additional support.

What we are looking for:

Previous experience of working with older people
Experience of working in a housing environment
An understanding of the importance of building safety and compliance
Excellent customer service and people skills
Strong administration and time management skills
Experience of using computer systems, for example Microsoft Office
The ability to establish, develop and maintain effective working relationships with all work colleagues, contractors and partnering agencies
A full UK driving licence and access to your own transport.
