Overview:
An opportunity has arisen for us to recruit a Despatch Administrator at our Highland Meats site, Saltcoats.
Reporting to the site Lead Accountant, the purpose of the Despatch Administrator is to ensure the smooth delivery of goods and supporting the team through other duties such as administrative duties, purchasing and liaising.
Responsibilities:
- Generating, printing, and issuing shipping documentation
- Completing all weekly tasks for export compliance purposes
- Liaising with drivers
- Creating transport and other supplier purchase orders
- Receipting in goods/services and filing
- Liaising with shared services regarding invoice queries in a timely manner
- Reception duties visitors and phones
- Liaising with other site contacts within the group on transport costs and queries
- Internal reporting duties
- Providing adhoc reporting as and when requested by management
Qualifications:
All roles within the finance function will require the Despatch Administrator to be fully flexible and inter-changeable and to learn and cover the other roles within the department to cover holidays etc.
Other skills required include:
- Flexibility to meet deadlines
- Good team management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good attention to detail
- Good administration skills with numerical skills and computer literate
- Proven ability to utilise Finance systems accurately and efficiently
