Description

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious individual to join our friendly team in Preston and gain experience in the flooring industry as a Trainee Flooring Estimator.

Salary - £21,000 plus bonus

Type - Permanent, Full Time

Working Pattern - Monday to Friday, 8:30am to 5:00pm

Key areas of responsibilities include:

To gain knowledge to be able to plan efficiently from measurements or drawings
To learn how to work on tenders for potential customers
To develop knowledge of flooring products and services
To learn to produce accurate block plans
Minimise waste on all installations
To provide an excellent service both internally and externally
With assistance replan / reprice where necessary
To learn how to ensure that best value is obtained in all areas, making savings wherever possible
To answer phone calls and participate in other office administration duties

Key requirements:

A conscientious approach with exceptional attention to detail
Will be required to be DBS checked (within probationary period) and gain a current CSCS card
Ability and willingness to learn new computerbased skills
Must hold a full and current UK driving licence so that site visits can be carried out
