Job Description:
Supporting role in Central Finance team.
- Assisting in central finance processing.
- Involvement in budgeting and forecasting for specific central business functions.
- Assisting in some process improvement projects.
This role is key to helping the company maximise efficiency and effectiveness of financial operations and central cost base as the group continues to expand and the central support function grows.
- Supporting month end process for central team business units including.
- Calculating and posting accruals and prepayments
- Processing of journals
- Staff cost allocations.
- Managing property Operating Expenses
- Reconciliation and review of some balance sheet accounts.
- Assisting with intercompany invoicing/recharges.
- Work with stakeholders to complete financial forecasting, annual budgets
- Assisting in production of monthly management reporting packs, commentary and analysis of performance trends.
- Supporting the Financial Controller & Finance Manager on process improvement activities and other ad hoc projects where required. Examples of ongoing projects include implementation and management of central intercompany reconciliation process, centralised payroll and benefits reconciliations, review and update of purchase order approval matrix.
- Creating and maintenance of lease schedule for properties
- Reconciliation of the lease schedule with the lease creditor account
- Supporting the budgetary and forecasting processes for property cost centres
Qualifications:
- Ideally qualified or partqualified member of ACCA/AAT/CIMA or equivalent professional body
- Significant experience in finance business partnering role.
- Ability to challenge status quo.
- Good attention to detail.
- Ability to work to deadlines and multiple priorities.
- Be prepared to travel inland and overseas as and where project needs demand
