Global Health and Safety Ltd are UK's local manufacturers of healthcare products, established to manufacture and supply PPE equipment including medical face masks, elastic bandages, and compression therapy solutions.


As part of our growth, we have secured new premises in Milton Keynes, which brings with it this fantastic opportunity to join our team.

We are looking for a Warehouse Operative to work full-time at our warehouse in Kiln Farm.


As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring the warehouse is supporting all the channels by managing stock coming in to and being sent out of the warehouse.

All these duties must be performed in a safe manner with an awareness of individual responsibility for health and safety.

Please note that this role involves heavy lifting, use of forklift and pallet trucks.


The key responsibilities will be:

  • Unloading and loading stock, accurately recording deliveries into the warehouse, moving stock around the warehouse to the production facilities, collecting finished stock, preparing stock for deliveries
  • Ensure 100% adherence to Health & Safety and COSHH procedures, identifying nonconformance and risks and reporting these to the line manager
  • Follow all agreed operational and Company processes and procedures and, where possible, identify areas of improvement and report as such to the Factory Manager and/or the Quality and Compliance Manager
  • Ensure all vehicles and orders despatches are done in such a way, so that efficiency and trailerfill are maximised, and costs are controlled
  • Ensure load list accuracy and ensure any issues are reported back to the logistics office immediately.
  • Ensure all load and pick photographs are taken by order and vehicle number and are returned to the Despatch Office
  • Ensure the warehouse and yard area are kept clean and tidy at all times and that work areas are free from clutter and kept in a condition that is safe to work in
  • Notify the relevant department of any discrepancies and/or shortages to any orders being despatched
To be successful for this role, you will need:

  • Combi Forklift Licence
  • High level of numeracy and accuracy skills
  • Ability to read and follow notes and documents.
  • Demonstrable knowledge of loading competency and load safety
  • Good communication skills must be able to understand and communicate in English verbally and in writing
  • Minimum two years' experience in warehouse operations
  • Positive and proactive contributor in a team environment
Breaks: 30 minutes unpaid lunch break, and 2 x 15 minutes unpaid breaks

Pay rate:
£11.50 per hour, raising to £12.65 per hour from 1st April 2024
