Furniture Sales Consultant - Local Authorities

West Midlands / South West

Salary 30k OTE 50k per year.

Company car or allowance
Due to strong growth our client is seeking a Furniture Sales Consultant to join their existing sales teams. Developing accounts within Local Authorities across the West Midlands / South West of England.

A leading UK manufacturer of innovative bespoke furniture / interiors across many business sectors. Furniture includes storage solutions, library furniture, meeting pods, variation of soft seating, office, reception and meeting room furniture.


The role will include a fair amount of travel across the West Midlands and South West for initial meetings with new and existing clientele discussing the concepts of the custom interior projects they require.

When not travelling it will require home workingunless you're located close to one of their regional offices.


As a Furniture Sales Consultant covering the local authorities, educational sectors it is essential that you have the soft and personable skills that allows long lasting relationships and trust to be built with new and existing clients.


Furniture Sales Responsibilities

  • Identify sales & marketing strategies to support and maximise sales opportunities
  • Provide sales support to the Sales Managers
  • Proactive sales activity with live and dormant local authority accounts
  • Responding to new sales leads and enquiries
  • Prospecting
  • Account management
  • Site visits & site surveys
  • Sales presentations and workshops
  • Write accurate creative briefs for the design team to work from
  • Represent the company at trade shows and exhibitions
  • Maintenance of sales pipeline and accurate sales forecasting

Furniture Sales Essentials

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Face to face sales experience, preferably working in a sales territory
  • Ideally from within the Furniture industry
  • Strong Word, Excel, and Power point skills
  • Good, sound knowledge of Outlook 365 and Microsoft Teams
