**Buyer - Calbourne/Newport, Isle of Wight

  • 28k 32k**Platform Recruitment have partnered with a Global Design and engineering company. They specialise in the manufacture of parts and products for aircraft interiors, primarily within the Airlines and Aviation Industry.
Located on the Isle of Wight, this company is looking for an experienced buyer to join their expanding team. You be responsible for the purchasing products for both their Calbourne and Newport sites.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Sourcing of electronic components and mechanical assemblies based on MRP system demands.
  • Management of subcontract manufacturing schedules in line with customer demands.
  • Problem solving and sourcing of hardtofind parts.
  • Supplier monitoring and evaluation.
  • Supplier audits and identification of new suppliers
  • Expediting orders

Key Skills:


  • Purchasing experience, preferably including electronic components
  • Experience with MRP/ERP Systems
  • Experience with stakeholders/suppliers.
  • Data driven and negotiation skills.

Salary/Benefits:


  • The salary ranges from 28k - 32k (Flexible) depending on experience.
