Surveyor - Damp, Mould and Condensation


As we continue to grow, Tai Tarian is looking for a
Surveyor to join our Assets team who will be responsible for providing property based technical advice to both internal and external stakeholders, both constructing professionals and non-technical persons with a dedicated focus on Damp, Mould and Condensation (DMC).***The role is permanent with a starting salary of £37,898 a year (from April 2024), rising to £40,958 a year (from April 2024) after key competencies of the role are met.

About the role


The role of
Surveyor is a pivotal role within our Assests Team, as they will advise on technical matters associated with the Tai Tarian property portfolio including the technical, environmental, health and safety issues of buildings.


The successful
Surveyor will provide comprehensive reports in relation to DMC surveys with clear diagnosis of root cause problems and remedial actions required.


About You
To be successful in the role of our new
Surveyor you must have technical knowledge and competence in building technology, experience of working in a domestic setting and be able to demonstrate the following skills:

  • Ability to demonstrate current retrofit knowledge and solutions (PAS2035).
  • Qualified or prepared to work towards becoming a Retrofit Assessor
  • Up to date knowledge of regulatory requirements that can affect the delivery of compliant construction projects.
  • High level of building pathology knowledge to identify effective cost considered solutions for building defects, with the ability to instruct on those recommendations.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to ensure that you are adding maximum value to clients' businesses.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, able to communicate and present at a professional level to both internal and external stakeholder.
  • Demonstrate resilience in challenging and conflicting situations/objectives.
  • To be agile and flexible in your work to ensure the demands of the services a met seamlessly.
  • Delivering a high standard of work within deadlines
  • Be a strong team player.
