Job description:


As the Framatome UK business grows, we are pleased to announce a fantastic opportunity to join the UK sales and account's function.

We are seeking a person motivated by diversity of thought, collaboration, and complexity who can deliver value for our clients working within our internal business, both within the UK and alongside our colleagues worldwide.


Reporting to the UK Chief Sales Officer, the
UK Head of Communications will be responsible for managing information and driving the promotion of Framatome via various communication channels and digital platforms in line with our global Framatome functional support teams and processes.

Working closely with the internal departments within Framatome the role is responsible for developing innovative marketing, communications and brand strategies which are aligned to the Company's strategic objectives, establishing relationships with media outlets and handling public relations issues that arise.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic

  • Develop and implement the strategic and operational plans for communications with Framatome.
  • Working closely with the CSO and UK Executive committee to develop a corporate approved communication strategy that identifies key stakeholders both internally and externally including government officials and media
  • Prepare and communicate awareness, knowledge and understanding of external factors impacting the nuclear energy industry in order to react, communicate and coordinate appropriate, timely and effective responses.
  • Drive Framatome's social media strategy, embracing the latest digital technologies and social media trends, to increase brand awareness and external engagement, in line with the Company's strategic objectives.
  • Oversight of the drafting and publishing of articles and papers that provide thought leadership on key issues affecting the industry.
  • Oversight and direction of online information services (Information Library, Nuclear Essentials, Reactor Database), online and printed reports and publications, and the daily reporting on nuclear industry developments via World Nuclear News.
  • Report on the performance of communication activities against agreed KPIs, demonstrating return on investment, in order to inform decisions on future activities against agreed KPIs, demonstrating return on investment, in order to inform decisions on future activities.

Tactical/Operational

  • Support the development of local intranet / internet website for internal and external communication working with our functional stakeholders
  • Drafting and communicating "good news" stories
  • Prepare and Coordinate Internal Newsletters
  • Act as coordinating link into relevant schools, universities and colleges within the UK
  • Act as a coordinating link into professional institutions such as IMechE, etc.
  • Brand ambassador for promoting equity, inclusion and diversity
  • Participating in key conferences as required.

Profile:


Qualifications and experience preferred

  • Preferably higher level education in communication, marketing, business, or related field experience.
  • Proven track record of strong, successful leadership, gained within a communications environment, from strategic planning and the development of engaging content to targeted and productive dissemination.
  • A proven strong track record of crafting and managing messaging, together with a strong understanding of PR strategy and the dynamics of media relations.
  • Experience of brand advocacy and management.
  • Professional knowledge of copyright laws, data protection and privacy laws.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office and other relevant programmes, such as Adobe Suite, including Photoshop, social media dashboard, Google Analytics, etc.
  • French language skills would be highly advantageous but not essential
