Working week:

36.5 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8:30am - 5pm, Friday 8.30am - 4pm


Important:

This is a three-year degree programme starting from Level 4, progressing to Level 6 at the completion of the apprenticeship.



You will be responsible for:


  • Working in the technology department, this degreelevel apprenticeship is an enriching journey in which you'll gain indepth knowledge across multiple IT specialisms, including Network Engineering, Software Engineering, IT Consulting, and Data Analysis
  • During the first year you'll spend time supporting systems, implementing IT requests and troubleshooting issues. This will give you plenty of 'handson' time to understand what specialisation excites you. You'll also spend time dedicated to your education, including a blend of online learning, workshops, onthejob experience, workbased portfolios, and projects
  • After fourteen learning knowledge modules and committed study, you should have achieved your degree and be well on your way to becoming a seasoned technology professional with practical and academic skills ready to launch the rest of your career and, hopefully, stay with us at Ecotricity for many years to come

Apprenticeships are funded by the Education & Skills Funding Agency (ESFA), an executive agency of the Department for Education.

To be eligible for a government-funded apprenticeship you must have lived in the UK or European Economic Area (EEA) for the last 3 consecutive years.

You will need the following skills:

  • You will be inquisitive, enthusiastic and customer-focused
  • You'll find value in helping people and fixing problems using technology as your toolkit
  • Comfortable interacting with others, you aspire to represent our technology department and to further the Ecotricity green mission
  • You'll be able to do this with your excellent interpretative, investigative, and communication skills, enabling you to respond effectively to requirements and issues
  • We're excited to offer our first Technology Apprenticeship scheme and see this as a big opportunity. As such, we'd like you to demonstrate your longterm commitment to technology through education, work, or hobbies
  • We'd love you to show us that this isn't a fleeting desire and that you're willing to make the same level of longterm commitment to us as we want to make to you

Entry requirements:


  • A Level 3 qualification in a relevant area in any grade

Acceptable qualifications include:
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
