I'm currently working with one of my key clients, a leading manufacturing firm to recruit an Assistant Accountant to join their shared service centre in Wantage on a permanent basis.

This company works with some of the biggest and most recognisable globalbrands.

As the successful Assistant Accountant, you will be reporting directly to the General Ledger Manager and be responsible for overseeing finance functions within the Product Data team as well as supervisory management of team members.

Key Responsibilities

Manage department creation processes in SAP for the company's European function
Creation of production and purchased items within the SAP system including materials, spare parts, tooling and packaging.
Supervision of junior team members to ensure service levels are constantly maintained
Assist with product costing processes implementing suitable changes where necessary
Mentor and support team members where necessary

Previous finance experience is essential for this role and a finance qualification would be desirable (AAT, CIMA OR ACCA) however the client is happy to consider QBE.

Client will also
offer study support to allow you to continue your qualifications if wanting to.

Previous experience within a manufacturing environment would be advantageous but not necessary as thorough training will be provided.

This role is completely office based with free parking onsite and excellent public transport links. Client also has a canteen onsite, gym and offers a highly lucrative benefits package.
